What is a Professional Coach and why do you need one in today's world?

A professional coach is trained primarily to listen and observe! This is the key and first step of a coach helping you achieve whatever it is you need, until we know definitively who you are and what you want, we wouldn’t be able to help get you there.

After having properly heard everything you want to say we follow up with summarising our understanding to ‘hold the mirror’ for you. I am a professional coach based in London, UK and know from experience that everyone has the ability to change or improve their situation, as each person has the answers within.

Professional Coach London - NLP Master Practitioner and ADHD Coach London

As an NLP Master Practitioner I have seen from my clients how beneficial it is to be coached and achieve your potential. Think of having a professional coach as having a partner in your team, you and the coach work together to take you from the ‘present you’ to the ‘future you’. I often say we all could benefit from having a coach at times in our life, each session is an indulgent hour, it’s ‘all about you’! How often do we give ourselves the time we need to assess and analyse how things are today and organise and plan properly for future goals.

Our busy lives can distract us and give us no time but are we on the right path? Are we being our best selves and are we totally happy and fulfilled? A good professional coach can be one of the best investments you make and working with a coach is the best decision you could make.

What Does a Professional Coach Do?

Coaching is for those that want to make a change or improve something in their life, for example a new job or promotion, setup a new business, have better relationships or working on something about themselves specifically, such as their stress or anxiety, building confidence or improving health and fitness. It is different from therapy in the way that it takes the ‘present you’ and makes a better ‘future you’, rather than looking at the ‘present you’ who is struggling with something that has happened in the past and working on that, in order to make the present better.

It also is different from mentoring where the mentor will share their knowledge and experience of something to help you, a coach enables you to see you are the most knowledgeable and skilled one, when it comes to matters relating to yourself. A professional coach does this by allowing you to speak and say everything you want to in a confidential space, they listen well and observe and then give a summary feedback.

Once it is quite clear to both the coach and the client, what is required, you both work together to achieve it. This happens over only as many sessions as necessary, which will include questions and exercises, the idea being that the life coach helps you to the path and then you take it.

Why Choose a Certified Professional Coach?

As with anything in life, it is important you try to get the best. This should apply very much to when you are investing directly in yourself, you will get what you put into it.

Finding the right certified professional coach is imperative for the best experience and outcome. Look for those that are certified and members of professional bodies to ensure they are trained.

Also find one that offers a free first introductory session so you can see if you would like to work with that person, it should feel like you trust them.

You will be sharing your hopes of a ‘future you’ so you should feel confident they respect and understand your needs without being judgemental.

Coaching in London, UK & Worldwide

I am an NLP Master Practitioner based in Kensington, London and can offer in-person coaching, should you prefer being coached face-to-face and live in London or would like to travel to London.

ADHD Life Coaching — A Specialist Service

ADHD life coaching differs in two respects from general life coaching, firstly an ADHD coach has been trained and has experience of ADHD and coaching those with ADHD, and secondly the coaching is carried out with the understanding of the differences in executive functioning of those with ADHD. Executive functioning affects things like memory, time management, organisation, planning and focus.

With this specialist knowledge and understanding, allowances can be made when coaching, as well as specific coaching given to help with these areas in life.

Having ADHD coaching can really help you understand more about what ADHD is, how it is affecting your day-to-day life and discover ways to make life easier. Many of those with ADHD suffer from RSD, where even just perceived rejection or criticism can have a devastating effect on your mental health and wellbeing, in this instance ADHD coaching can be very beneficial and you will discover your strengths and be able to focus on using them more.

Coaching Packages & Pricing

Life coaching can transform your outlook and future and be a very worthwhile investment in yourself. It can bring clarity, new perspectives and beneficial changes to your life. Depending on what you are looking to achieve, the duration you will need to be coached will vary.

In essence you could just have one or two sessions and that will give you the insight you were looking for or you could have a series of sessions as a package to take you from start to finish of a change in life. Sessions range in price from £50-£100 per hour.
